I was tired of being tired, and I was tired of the constant struggle of fighting financial stress on top of everything else life threw at me. As soon as I got my paychecks, the money was gone after bills and debt. Going out to have fun was not even an option. My joy in life was almost nonexistent and I couldn't afford to do anything but work. I was still expected to handle responsibilities, save, and put money towards retirement - but I also wanted to live how I wanted. How was I supposed to do that if I couldn't afford groceries some days? Something needed to change, and I was determined to dig myself out of the hole I found myself in.

I know what it's like to live paycheck to paycheck. I know the struggles of having to start over, the stress of collection calls, and having to depend on credit cards - until there was no credit left. Living like that was not ok.

I do this job because I know there is another side. Each day brings a new opportunity to walk through the valley and not set up camp. ​​
